That depends on the service selected. The typical interior detail could have a range of $150-$250, the same range applies to the exterior. Everything is based on the type of vehicle and condition.
The typical full detailing packages could have a price range of $250-$400. The vehicle type and overall condition are the determining factors in price.
A full detail could take anywhere from 2 hours to 10 hours, vehicle type and condition are determining factors on time.
Full detailing packages typically include:
Exterior: hand wash using a professional method (brushes, mitts, multiple wash and rinse stages), cleaning and dressing of the wheels and tires, iron decontamination of the paint, clay bar treatment, bug and tar removal, glass and mirrors cleaned, application of some type of paint protection.
Interior: Thorough vacuuming of carpets, seats, trunk, and crevices, clean and wipe all interior surfaces(dash, console, door panels, cup holders). Clean vents, cracks, and crevices.
Getting your car professionally detailed before selling or trading it in is a great way to maximize profit. If you’re trading it in to a dealership or selling it privately, potential buyers want to see a clean well maintained vehicle.

Car Wash
A car wash is designed to quickly remove surface dirt and grime.

A car wash helps maintain cleanliness, but it doesn’t restore or protect your vehicle
Professional Auto Detailing
Detailing is a deep-cleaning and restoration process focused on improving the vehicle’s appearance and condition.
Typical detailing services include:
• Thorough interior cleaning and sanitizing
• Carpet and upholstery shampooing/extraction
• Leather cleaning and conditioning
• Deep cleaning of vents, cup holders, and crevices
• Paint decontamination (clay bar and iron removal)
• Paint polishing and swirl removal
• Wax, sealant, or ceramic coating protection

No, but most detailers will offer paint enhancements or paint correction services to improve minor defects, swirls, and scratches. These are separate services offered.

When selecting a detailer, you should ask yourself “can I trust them, will my car look amazing, and does it feel worth the money?”
You’re paying a detailer to restore your car as close to factory condition as possible. To help the process go smoothly, be sure to remove all personal items from your vehicle prior to your visit, anything you want saved should be out of the car beforehand.
Vehicle condition, vehicle daily use, and overall condition could be reasons why your detail may take longer than expected. Pet hair and staining are some of the more time consuming conditions to remedy.
Most ceramic coating packages will include an exterior detail as that is part of the prep process before performing a paint enhancement polish, or multi-step paint correction. After the vehicle is properly prepared, we would install a ceramic coating of your choosing; a 1,2,or 6 year coating.
In very minor cases of water spotting, a professional detail could improve water spots on your vehicle. Typically we would suggest a paint enhancement polish. In more severe cases, a multi-step paint correction may be needed. It’s important to note that if your water spots have etched their way into the paint there may not be a fix for it.
Condition is always a factor. Paint correction is labor intensive, it could cost $600 – $5,000+.
It never hurts to detail a new car, mainly the exterior. These cars have traveled a great distance to your driveway. The dealership is typically concerned with quantity not quality on delivery day. Your car could have been transported by train, or carrier truck. We typically see iron build up on new car clear coats from the shipping process.
The best way to keep your car looking detailed is by investing in a quality ceramic coating, or getting on a regular maintenance detail schedule. Maintenance details are typically more affordable then doing a detail once a year.
A quality detail should look, and believe it or not, feel good. When you touch the vehicle’s exterior, it should be smooth. I recommend using a quality microfiber rag when touching the paint post detail. Your detailer should walk you through the process if you’d like. Be sure to look under the seats and in the door jambs.
There are steps in the wash process that can help remove newer sap drops. For drops that have hardened or have been on the paint for an extended period of time, there are some additional services that could be added on to your detail to remove these spots
